An Exciting Cricket Match
Last week, I witnessed an
exciting cricket match. It was played between our school and Rajdhani high
school. Our school won the toss and sent them to bat. At first, opening batsmans
of them did very well. That match was only played for 20 overs. In 10
overs they made 84 runs. But after that a batsman bowled out. Four
more wickets fell in a row. After 20 overs they scored 142 runs
for lost of 9 wickets. Our school went to bat after lunch. We were sorry to see
our one opening batsman being bowled out on first ball. After that at 5th ball
of that over another caught behind. But third and fourth wicket played
well. After 10 overs our school scored only 65 runs. Our batsmans tried
quick runs. Our school lost more wickets. At the end of 16 overs scored
114 runs for 8 wickets. Then score gradually went up and it
stood 137 runs at 19
overs for 9 wickets. I thought that we will be lost. Raju faced the last
over. Our school in need of 6 runs to win. Raju could not score any runs
with first 5 balls. Our supporters and team with our respectable
teachers left the hope of win. But all on a sudden, Raju hitted the last ball
with highest power of his body and it was 6. Finally, we won the match.
When I remember the match, I feel very excited and wish to enjoy such a match
once again.
