The Game of Cricket
Now a days Cricket is the most popular game in the world. Cricket is mainly two types- One day and Test match. One day game is played for 50 overs. In a over there exists 6 balls. It is played in a big open field. A ball, two wooden bats and two sets of wickets are needed to play this game. Each wicket has three stumps. The wickets are pitched in the ground at a distance of 22 yards. Cricket is played between teams. Each team consists 11 players. The toss winning team can make the decision whether they field or bat first. One team take batting & opposite one is bowling. Two batsman take position before the wickets. The bowlers try to strike wicket with ball. And bats-mans try to make runs by hitting the ball. One run scored when the bats-mans change their position once. It will be 4 runs if the ball cross the boundary with touching the ground. If the ball cross the boundary without touching the ground, it will be 6 runs.When the ball strikes the wicket the batsman is said to be bowled out. Batsman may be bowled out ,caught out, run out, stumping out.
